Kasiopi is a wonderful greek village with the real atmosphere and plenty of small hidden beaches. Its also full of history, as Neronas, the King of Rome was here and set up the baths of Kasiopi, as well Cicero passed by, there is worth visiting the church of Panagia Kasiopitissa, which possibly has been built on the place of an ancient temple dedicated to Zeus Kassius. Very nice view and walk is to the ruins of the Byzantine castle that was used to protect the town and its port and was quarding the sea route from Corfu to the opposite coast.
The port of Kasiopi and whole the village is full of bars, restaurants, cafeterias, greek music, gyros and boats. It also provides views out to sea to the Albanian coast and shares the same northern coastline as Sidari, Roda and Acharavi. Once a quite fishing village, the resort has been transformed into a popular holiday destination, loved for years by many visitors and repeaters.
