Doukades is one of the most picturesque and beautiful villages of the northern part of Corfu, declared as a traditional settlement, built of stone 170 m above the known Paleokastritsa.

In Doukades there is probably the most impressive residence of Corfu countryside, the old mansion of the Theotokis family, of approximately 1000 square meters which has been renovated recently and uncovers all its greatness. The village has got also many remarkable mansions which you will discover if you wander in its alleys.

We have to mention also the primary school of Venetian architecture which is well maintained at the entrance of the village. In the beautiful, stoned square of the village you will find wonderful tavernas with home made food, coffe shops, kafenia, where the villagers sit, talk and drink ouzo and meze or greek coffee ! There is also an amazing church !
