Kontogialos beach is one of the most popular sandy beaches on the western coast of Corfu, a naighbour of Glyfada and its situated down the very famous village Pelekas, so sometimes you may hear that the meach is Pelekas beach instead of Kontogialos beach. Its 15 minuts from Corfu town and also very near to by car to the other western beach, just you have to be prepared for big hill coming and going anywhere from here. The beach is quiet long, there are sunbeds, sun umbrewllas, also volleyball nest, you may rent a pedal boat. The sea bottom is very shallow. On the left part of the beach there is a big hotel, but the rest is free and calm (only in the high season there are of course many visitors, especially on weekend, when also the Greeks are coming here).
From here you you are welcome to visit Glyfada beach, Gialiskari beach, Agios Gordis, but also the same part of Corfu Palekastritsa, south western beaches, many beautifull villages, as to be very oftern in Corfu town, stop in Achilleon palace, or have a coffee in Kanoni 🙂
